Job summary

Peak Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Repair Technician I in Miami, FL to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic devices. Training is provided for candidates with a technical background.

You will work with a team to restore equipment to working condition while upholding quality and productivity standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing barcode scanners, mobile computers, POS systems, printers, and other devices; replacing faulty parts; updating software and firmware; and

Qualifications

• Experience repairing electronics or electro-mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Experience with printers, kiosks, ATMs, mobile devices, or similar equipment is a plus.
• Associate degree or 2-4 years of related experience is preferred (equivalent experience considered).
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electronic equipment including barcode scanners, mobile computers, POS systems, printers.
• Replace faulty parts and update software/firmware on devices.
• Document repairs in the company system and maintain organized work area.

Pay: $15.00/hour
Production Bonus: Team-based (not guaranteed)

About the Role

We're looking for a Repair Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic devices. You'll work with a team to restore equipment to working condition while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Training is provided for the right candidate with a technical background.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair electronic equipment such as:
• Barcode scanners
• Mobile computers
• POS (Point of Sale) systems
• Printers and other electronic devices
• Replace faulty parts such as cables, connectors, fuses, and cosmetic components
• Update software and firmware on devices
• Use hand tools, soldering equipment (under supervision), and basic testing equipment
• Assemble and disassemble electronic devices
• Record completed repairs in the company system
• Keep your work area clean and organized
• Follow safety and quality procedures

What We're Looking For

• Technical experience repairing electronics or electro-mechanical equipment is preferred
• Experience with printers, kiosks, ATMs, mobile devices, or similar equipment is a plus
• Associate degree or 2-4 years of related experience is preferred (equivalent experience considered)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic testing equipment
• Able to read and follow written instructions
• Motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
