Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience with electronic systems installation and maintenance.

At the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS), we empower state and local agencies to serve all Oregonians. From technology and finance to HR and facility management, we provide essential services that make a difference. If you’re ready to play a key role in maintaining critical infrastructure while supporting meaningful public service, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair card readers, surveillance cameras, alarms, intercoms, and ADA-compliant door systems
  • Program systems for secure access, scheduling, and alerts
  • Review blueprints and ensure safety and code compliance
  • Coordinate with team members and contractors on new installations and repairs
  • Use remote tools and VPN to make urgent system updates
  • Maintain accurate documentation and digital records
  • Support special projects across DAS buildings in Portland
Minimum Qualifications

A current Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license or other approved limited journeyman license (LEA, LEB) issued by the Oregon Building Codes Division AND six (6) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of manual and computer-controlled electronic systems; OR a General Journeyman Electrician license AND six (6) years of relevant experience.

Special Qualifications

You must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by your state of residence.

  • Experience delivering outstanding customer service and developing relationships with clients and co-workers
  • Ability to independently prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Computer Integrated Facilities Management System (CIFMS)
  • Ability to learn LENEL software, network video systems, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic theory and equipment, including access systems and CCTV
