Job summary

i2G Systems is seeking a Lead Technician to oversee site management and installation of security solutions for new and existing clients. You will collaborate with internal teams, external teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success.

A competent Lead Tech mentors others and progresses toward project management. Ideal candidates have extensive experience with access control and electronic security systems, strong documentation habits, and the ability to train replacements and lead

Qualifications

• Knowledge of access control systems (Lenel, Genetec preferred).
• Experience with electronic security systems and installation labor.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Customer-focused with a can-do attitude.
• 5–7 years of physical/electronic security experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow and track project scheduling.
• Direct subcontractor and internal resource communications.
• Coordinate multiple technicians and subcontractors.
• Read specifications, drawings, and controlling documents; maintain documentation.
• Install and train on control systems as required.
• Troubleshoot and maintain security systems for customers.
• Coordinate project activities with internal and external parties.
• Document changes and implement them as needed.
• Work safely and per policies and standards.
• Complete final Test and Acceptance of security systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position will focus on the site management and installation of security solutions for new and existing clients while working alongside internal teams, external teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success. A successful Site Lead can work with minimal supervision, provide daily updates of work performed, and reach out to his project manager for support as needed. The goal of every Site Lead/Sr Tech is to train replacements and advance into Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Follow and track project scheduling.
• Direct subcontractor, internal resource communications.
• Manage and coordinate multiple technicians and subcontractors.
• Read and understand written specifications, drawings and controlling documents. Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems.
• Perform installation and training as required on implemented control systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain new and existing control systems for customers.
• Coordinate project activities with appropriate parties internally and externally.
• Document and communicate necessary project changes and subsequently implement the changes.
• Perform all work in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, and standards.
• Complete the final Test and Acceptance of security systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of general access control systems. Lenel and Genetec knowledge is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of electronic security systems, their individual parts, and the onsite labor necessary to complete an installation.
• Skills/experience using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to be creative and resourceful in obtaining solutions to uncommon applications.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team atmosphere.
• Strong organization skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Proficient verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Customer focus and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
• Physical/Electronic Security Experience 5-7 Years
