Electronic Design Automation Winter/Spring Co-Op (Jan-June '27)

Job Location(s): San Jose

Description

Skyworks is seeking a Winter / Spring (Approx Jan - June 2027) co-op with a EM (Electromagnetics) background AND programming skills to develop an agentic AI flow to automate EM simulation for its industry-leading wireless Multi-Chip Module (MCM) design. In this role, you will focus on design export from one EDA tool and import to another tool using scripting language and AI. Through interactions with experienced engineers and learning from them, you gain hands-on experience of the flow and EDA tools involved and make contributions. This experience will give you an advantage in your future career in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop an agentic AI flow toautomate EM simulations of MCM design with seamless integration of EM models.

Required Experience and Skills

• In a MSEE program with focus on EM or BSEE with CE/CS as the second major.
• Solid EE background and AI experience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience in EM simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS and Cadence Clarity.
• Experience with Cadence APD and/or Virtuoso would be a plus.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
