• Physical Effort: Incumbent performs work from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms and where the parts, equipment, or systems are in hand-to-reach places. Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
• Working Conditions: Indoor/outdoor work with noise, heat/cold, fumes; risk of electrocution; safety precautions required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs the systems and components enumerated above.
• Answers trouble calls and checks circuits, wiring, transistors etc. and locates and diagnoses malfunctions.
• Corrects trouble by replacing or repairing defective parts and components.
• Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment to which assigned.
• Identifies weak spots and potential trouble areas and repairs or replaces components to avoid possible future failure.
