Publix Super Markets is seeking an Industrial Maintenance technician in our Deerfield Beach, FL facilities. The role requires hands-on maintenance of electrical and electronic systems, with emphasis on reading wiring and PLC diagrams and applying Ohm’s law.

The ideal candidate has an AS in electronics or completed electronics coursework, plus two years’ experience as an electronics or electrical control technician.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Must pass the Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization and Mechanical Aptitude tests.
• Ability to interpret, understand, follow and communicate instructions.
• Two years of electronics technician or electrical control technician experience.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, PLC logic diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to use meter, signal generator, oscilloscope, and laptop.
• Knowledge of AC/DC theory and Ohm’s law applied practically.
• Understanding of components such as resistors, capacitors, transformers, diodes, transistors.
• Ability to create/handle work orders in CMMS.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Own and maintain hand tools.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality and eagerness to advance.
• Excellent verbal and written skills; self-motivated; safety-minded.

• Capable of creating and processing work orders within a computerized maintenance-management system

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
