Job summary

PacSci EMC in Solon, Ohio is seeking an Electronic Assembler to perform complex assembly of electronic components for aerospace and defense systems. Schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with strict IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 adherence.

You will inspect, hand-load, solder PCB assemblies, and collaborate with engineering to drive continuous improvement, while maintaining safety and quality standards; US citizenship required due to government contracts, and prior J-STD experience

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to national security contracts.
  • IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify electronic component values.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies for aerospace and defense systems.
  • Interpret and follow detailed visual aids, engineering drawings, and written instructions to assemble, modify, or rework units.
  • Hand-load and solder PCB assemblies, including fine-pitch components, following IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards.
  • Identify and repair soldering anomalies, working with both lead and lead-free solder under a microscope.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.
  • Participate in offsite training to maintain industry certifications as required.
  • Actively contribute ideas for process improvement and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • U.S. citizenship (required due to national security contracts).
  • 3–5 years of J-STD soldering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Certification to IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify electronic component values.
  • Working knowledge of ESD prevention and product handling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a self-starter who can plan, execute, and complete tasks independently.

Bonus or Equity

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range

The hourly salary range for this position (in local currency) is $16.50-29.50.

Is this role subject to ITAR?
