Job summary

Manpower in Santa Clara is seeking an Electronic Technician to join our team full time. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical assemblies, following detailed instructions and schematics, with focus on quality and safety.

Hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, on-site. The role requires reading schematics, basic math, and hands-on work with precision tools. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be available; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Requires HS diploma or GED; technical schooling preferred.
  • Ability to read work instructions, bills of materials and standing instructions.
  • Experience in electromechanical assembly and quality-control tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, electrical test, troubleshoot and perform quality control on electromechanical assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials.
  • Use measuring tools and testing equipment to verify product conformance.

Hours: 7am - 3:30pm

Pay: 25$ an hour (depending on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key Requirements:
    Ability to read and understand schematics.
    Build products by accurately following detailed process instructions.
    Assembly experience, particularly in electromechanical assembly, is a plus.
    Perform wire cutting, unpacking, and repacking tasks as part of assembly duties.
    Strong critical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.
    Warehouse experience, including packaging and material handling.
    Experience operating PIT or forklift equipment is a plus Overtime and Saturday work are available on a voluntary basis

    Summary of Key Responsibilities:
    The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, electrical testing, troubleshooting and quality
    control of electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Ensure assemblies meet specified quality
    standards and maintain quality documentation.
    What Youll Do
    Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material and standing instructions
    Utilize various hand tools, measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauge pins), testing tools
    (HiPot tester, Multimeter) and other standard power hand tools to complete work tasks
    Calculate parameters and test finished product according to standing instructions
    Assemble product according to work instructions and standing instructions
    Verify quantities and items shipping out per Work Orders. Pack finished product to deliver
    Inspect parts according to geometrical, dimensional, tolerance, and visual inspections on inbound
    POs to ensure parts meet drawing specifications and are in good condition
    Support ISO Certification, maintenance of documents, and audits. Participate in ISO yearly
    training
    Receive material coming into the Assembly Center by vendors, customers, or other warehouses
    accurately and promptly
    Document and control all Non-Conforming material
    Assist in inventory management
    Other duties as assigned

    What Youll Need

    Experience:
    1+ years pf experience in Assembly, Quality Control, or Inventory Management

    Strong mechanical aptitude a must
    Strong mathematical skills
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
    Basic computer skills with strong attention to detail. Familiarity with Microsoft products and
    warehouse management systems a must
    Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements
    Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
    Able to meet deadlines
    Able to work overtime as required
