Job summary

Aerosphere Power and Navigation in Budd Lake, NJ is seeking an Electronic Assembler with hands-on experience in precision assembly and soldering. You will interpret drawings, follow IPC/J-STD-001 standards, and assemble PCBs and harnesses for aerospace applications.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in electronic or electromechanical assembly, current J-STD-001 solder certification, and the ability to inspect solder joints under a microscope.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly.
• IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent training preferred.
• Current J-STD-001 solder certification required.
• Ability to work with small components and fine pitch soldering under a microscope.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic and electromechanical assembly of PCBs, harnesses, and subassemblies per IPC and J-STD-001 standards.
• Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and microscopes to assemble and inspect components.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Conduct visual inspection of solder joints and component placement for quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve assembly issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow ESD/safety protocols.

Aerosphere Power & Navigation (APN)located in Budd Lake; NJ is seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Assembler with strong hands-on experience in precision electronic assembly and soldering. The ideal candidate will be proficient in IPC and J-STD-001 standards, with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electronic and electromechanical assembly of printed circuit boards, harnesses, and subassemblies per IPC and J-STD-001 workmanship standards.
• Utilize hand tools, soldering equipment, and microscopes to assemble and inspect components.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
• Conduct visual inspection of solder joints and component placement to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all ESD and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly.
• IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent training preferred.
• Current J-STD-001 solder certification required.
• Ability to work with small components and fine pitch soldering under a microscope.
• Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and manual dexterity.
• Experience in an aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing environment is a plus.

The hourly range for this position is $23.00-$25.00/hour. Aerosphere Power & Navigation also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
