HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician to build electronic components and PCB assemblies per written instructions and drawings.

You will solder components, mount parts on PCB panels, and inspect your work to ensure quality. This role requires high school graduation and may benefit from J-STD certifications; training is provided where needed.

• Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Follow production drawings, bills of material, travelers, sample assemblies.
• Use fixtures and tools to align parts in the specified relationship to each other.
• Solder components using a soldering iron in accordance with applicable workmanship requirements.
• Mount components on PCB panels and related assemblies.
• Connect component lead wires to PCB boards and assemblies as required.
• Work with extremely fine wire, small components, and detailed assembly requirements.
• Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, sanding, cleaning, etching, and other related production activities.
• Inspect own work for obvious defects and notify supervision or quality personnel of nonconforming product or process concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow applicable company policies, safety requirements, quality procedures, and production practices.

Required Education / Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience, electronics certifications (J-STD), secondary education.
