Apex Systems, the Nation’s 2nd largest Technical Staffing and Services Firm, has an opening for an Electro-Mechanical Technician with a Fortune 500 Company in Vandalia, Ohio for a contract position.

Location: Concord, NC

Length: 3+ month contract

Schedule: Onsite / TBD – Shift 10-12 hours

Payrate: $28.00

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used
• Develop training plans
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all operations facility
• Track and store department inventory
• Move up to 49 lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of electro-mechanical experience
• 2 year degree or equivalent training

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with automated systems and controls
• 3+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment
• 3+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• 3+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
• 3+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards
