Job summary

FLANDERS Inc. Evansville, IN is seeking six Motor Assembly Technicians to join the Operations team. You will assist with assembling basic to moderately complex electromechanical motors and equipment, performing subassembly, testing, cleaning, and final assembly per job instructions.

Responsibilities include operating test equipment, documenting results, maintaining part flow, and upholding safety and quality standards in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on mechanical or electrical equipment experience preferred.
• Two years of trade/technical school education preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and understand instructions.
• Ability to operate cranes and forklifts and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Read job cards to determine status, authorizations, problems and serviceability.
• Perform subassembly duties assembling motors and components.
• Test basic electromechanical equipment and document results.
• Operate Megger, Surge Tester, VOM, Growler, Amp Meters, and similar tools as needed.
• Clean and inspect electromechanical assemblies during processing.
• Store and retrieve parts accurately per job status.
• Assist level II/III technicians with final motor assembly.
• Maintain thorough paperwork including test sheets and QC checklists.
• Observe safety procedures and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Provide support and cooperate with co-workers and customers as required.
