Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electro-Optical Integration & Test Engineer for our Tucson, AZ campus. The role focuses on imaging sensor subsystems, hardware integration, verification, and production transition across EO products.

You will bridge optics, electronics, mechanical and software disciplines to ensure subsystems meet performance requirements and are ready for production. The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, with hands-on EO or imaging-systems work, and

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electro-optical or imaging systems preferred.
• Experience with system-level integration and verification.

Responsibilities

• Participate in optical and electro-mechanical alignment of EO subsystems.
• Integrate detectors, optics, electronics and firmware into hardware.
• Develop and execute system-level test plans for development and production.
• Design automated test processes and data acquisition tools.
• Analyze test data and build models for verification and root-cause studies.
• Design and maintain EO subsystem test fixtures and equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues at component and system levels.
• Support production with documentation, processes, and yield improvements.
• Participate in technical reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
