Job summary

The Amatriot Group is seeking an Engineer to support NSWC Crane programs, delivering engineering and technical support to inform and support the Electro-Optic Technology Division projects. You will assist in the Unmanned and Small Combatant Sensor Systems Branch initiatives, particularly USV projects, and provide cross‑project technical assistance across LXN Maritime efforts.

The role emphasizes trade studies, analysis, requirements development, and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or other Engineering Discipline.
US Citizen able to obtain Secret clearance.
3+ years in systems engineering and systems design.
Experience with Electro-Optic (EO), Infrared (IR), and Laser Technology programs.
No coding work required; focus on communication, validation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Perform trade studies, engineering/technical analysis and other evaluations to assist in requirements allocation and hardware troubleshooting.
Assist in development and finalization of requirements, behavior, use cases, architecture and related documents.
Review technical documents and standardize formats, naming conventions and data files.
Write procedures, work instructions and design practices criteria to standardize EO work products.
Investigate issues related to system requirements and engineering changes.
Evaluate technical specifications and performance requirements.
Prepare inputs for test plans and procedures for tests (virtual and live).
Develop future EO/IR requirements and use cases; support EO/IR projects.
