Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a hands-on electro-mechanical technician to perform design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification and assembly of electronics and systems at our Santa Clara site.

You will troubleshoot system- and component-level issues, perform field upgrades where needed, and work from schematics and diagrams to support testing. Candidates should document procedures and maintain quality logs while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Has developed proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks.
• Good understanding of how the team integrates with others to achieve objectives.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately complex electro-mechanical functions including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
• Tests and troubleshoots system- and component-level problems; may perform field upgrades.
• Works from schematics/diagrams to perform testing and troubleshooting; documents procedures.
• Maintains logbooks and contributes to procedure revisions and quality notifications.
