Job summary

International Paper's Atglen Container Facility is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for the 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:00am). The role focuses on preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, and compliance with safety rules.

You will use measurement and test equipment, perform boiler operations, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform emergency and breakdown maintenance and work with vendors.
• Use measurement and test equipment.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system repairs.
• Safely operate boiler and maintain steam pressure.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records.
• Troubleshoot and communicate with supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Job You Will Perform

• Following all safety rules and practices; performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, reposition components; and observing operations, vibrations and noise levels
• Performing emergency and break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations; referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature; contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results
• Accurately using measurement and test equipment
• Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed
• Safely operating the boiler, and maintaining adequate operating steam pressure
• Accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperwork
• Trouble-shooting and solving problems; maintaining teamwork with other associates and keeping supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
