Job Requisition #: 035291 Electro Mechanical Technician (Open)
Minimum five years experience as a well-rounded technician capable of troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical industrial equipment. Must have at least three years experience with complex troubleshooting of production equipment. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and measurement tools. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems required. Must use appropriate safety gear to perform specific functions of the job. Excellent communication and time management skills.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Document all repairs and adjustments via maintenance work order system. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Maintaining critical parts inventory. Utilize tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams. Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Align and balance new equipment after installation. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Set‑up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $24.18 - $41.20 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between 32.00 to 35.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
