Job summary

T.D. Williamson is seeking a hands-on Operations Specialist to safely execute ILI equipment operations during service work assignments. You will maintain and prepare tools, assist field technicians, and support equipment coordination to ensure successful project delivery.

Ideal candidates have a strong electronics background, hands-on mechanical skills, and the ability to follow safety and quality procedures. Travel up to 20% and overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate and/or bachelor's degree in electronics preferred.
• Certificate of completion in an electronics discipline preferred.
• Prior electronics experience preferred.
• IPC training courses: Electronics Assembly for Operators, Wire Harness Assembly for Operators, and J Standard Course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ILI equipment, tools, and assets are cleaned, maintained, and built for successful ILI projects.
• Disassemble and clean ILI equipment and components for maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical assets at component level.
• Perform recertification assessments of sensors for quality and performance.
• Assist with loading/unloading equipment for shipping and receiving as directed.

Overview

Responsible for safely executing operations of In-Line Inspection (ILI) equipment during service work assignments to achieve satisfactory completion of the job and assigned task.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure ILI equipment, tools, and assets are properly cleaned, maintained, and built to enable successful completion of ILI projects, meeting and/or exceeding the expectations of clients, field technicians, and equipment coordinator.
• Disassemble and clean ILI equipment, tools, assets, and components in preparation for component maintenance, applying appropriate cleaning procedures based on the specific tool type.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical assets at the individual component level.
• Conduct thorough recertification assessments of sensors, ensuring compliance with quality standards and performance specifications.
• Assist service center technicians and field technicians by preparing, loading, and unloading ILI equipment, tools, assets, and support equipment for shipping and receiving as directed by leadership
• Complete tasks under the supervision of a qualified service center technician, supervisor or manager.
• Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve asset performance.
• Comply with all T.D. Williamson (TDW) policies and requirements.
• Perform any business-related task as directed by leadership.
• Coordinate with global training and support for ongoing training.
• Complete and pass all training courses, modules and bulletins assigned.
• Perform housekeeping and maintenance assignments set by leadership.
• Maintain inventory control of electronic and mechanical components.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and global training and support to obtain new product information and troubleshoot design and/or testing issues.
• Maintain professional attitude and behavior when communicating and interacting with both internal and external customers.
• Follow HSE policy by applying the instructions and procedures of the HSE manual, by participating actively in the Hazards and (Near-miss) Incident Identification and by behaving safely.
• Perform HSE tasks as required by TDW policy and/or directed by leadership.
• Follow all HSE policies and requirements to perform work safely.
• Follow directives of the Quality System (ISO 9001:2015) chosen by applying the instructions and procedures of the system as specified in the documents of: Quality Manual, Quality System Procedures, and Instructions.
• Work requires traveling up to 20.0% of the time, including overnight stays.

Experience

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate and/or bachelor's degree in electronics preferred.
• Certificate of completion in an electronics discipline preferred.
• Prior electronics experience preferred.
• Successful completion of IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries) training courses: Electronics Assembly for Operators, Wire Harness Assembly for Operators, and J Standard Course preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within electronic technology.
• Working knowledge of electronic digital and analog circuits and hardware, firmware and software used in data logging applications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to safely and properly use hand tools and small power tools used in the fabrication of electro-mechanical devices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to interpret information, isometric drawings, and electronic data.
