Job summary

NSI Industries in Norridge, IL, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for 1st shift (7am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri). You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and support equipment installation and repairs to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of electro-mechanical experience, with electrical know-how and blueprint reading skills; chiller/HVAC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Electro-Mechanical Technician experience.
• Electrical experience required.
• Associate’s degree in Electronics is a plus.
• Chiller and HVAC knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot 3 phase electrical systems and heating circuits.
• Install and mount electronic controls and sensors.
• Read blueprints to guide electrical/mechanical function.
• Replace pumps, motors, gear boxes, and other components.
• Work with production to diagnose and fix equipment failures.
• Support other plant engineering tasks as needed.

We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. General Summary

Accountable for completing assigned preventative maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting and repairing equipment to ensure minimal loss of production and downtime, and working on projects and new installations as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot 3 phase electrical systems and resistive heating circuits
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices
• Install and mount electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and components
• Replace and wire electronic components as needed
• Read blueprints to determine how electrical equipment should function
• Troubleshoot hydraulic issues on production equipment
• Utilize machine information to troubleshoot problems
• Work with production personnel to understand equipment failure and determine the best course of action to correct the issue(s)
• Replace pumps, motors, and gear boxes
• Replace shot end components, goosenecks, plungers, rings as needed
• Troubleshoot chiller and identify issues
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical and robotic systems
• Read blueprints to determine how mechanical equipment should function
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Engineering Manager

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician
• Previous electrical experience
• Associate’s degree in Electronics a plus
• Experience using hand tools, small power tools, shop machines and heavy equipment
• Chiller knowledge
• HVAC knowledge

Salary Range: $29.00 - $36.00/hr.

Final pay will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, skills, qualifications and work location and may vary accordingly.
