Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanical) to maintain and repair industrial equipment on site. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with involvement in PLCs, VFDs, and automation projects.

The candidate will read schematics and drawings, install and modify systems, and support start-up projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Experience with industrial motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, pumps and hydraulics/pneumatics preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on industrial production equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, safety circuits, relays, contactors, breakers, transformers, and other control systems.
• Read electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Install and modify electrical, mechanical, and control systems for production equipment and plant projects.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, and other automation systems.
• Perform welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Rebuild and fabricate components for industrial production equipment.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and document activities.
• Assist operators and team members with troubleshooting equipment and repairs.
