Job description

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 (Flexible up to ~$105K for candidates with strong electrical/PLC experience)

Our recruiting team is partnering exclusively with a well-established custom industrial equipment manufacturer that has been an industry leader for decades. This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially strong, growing organization that is making significant investments in its people, technology, and facilities while offering engineers the chance to work on highly customized, engineer-to-order equipment rather than repetitive production designs.

This company is experiencing tremendous growth, with plans to increase revenue by more than 30% over the next year, expand its workforce by approximately 20%, and invest further in facility expansion, advanced manufacturing equipment, renewable energy initiatives, and a new ERP system. They are also transitioning to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), giving employees the opportunity to share in the company's long-term success.

What You'll Do
  • Design and customize industrial equipment based on unique customer requirements.
  • Develop mechanical designs, assemblies, and detailed engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, fabrication, machining, and welding teams to bring designs to life.
  • Support electrical and controls integration on custom equipment, including troubleshooting and modifying existing systems.
  • Create or modify electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Work on multiple engineering projects simultaneously in a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Participate in continuous product improvements and new product development initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Approximately 2-4 years of engineering experience (ideal), preferably involving machine design or custom industrial equipment.
  • Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical products.
  • Curiosity and a genuine passion for engineering, learning how things work, and solving technical problems.
  • Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred but not required).
  • Experience with fabrication, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial equipment is highly desirable.
Highly Preferred
  • PLC troubleshooting or programming experience.
  • Ability to create or modify electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Controls or automation experience.
  • Engineers who enjoy hands-on technical hobbies such as automotive projects, fabrication, robotics, Formula SAE, or similar interests.
Why This Opportunity?
  • Growing engineering team with excellent mentorship and career development.
  • Highly customized projects that provide technical variety and challenge.
  • Significant investment in new equipment, technology, and facility expansion.
  • Collaborative culture where engineers have a voice and opportunities to contribute to new product development.
  • Future employee ownership (ESOP).
  • Stable, established manufacturer with a long history of success and an exciting growth trajectory.
