Job summary

Jobtailor in New Jersey seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician (Electrical/Mechanical) to support production equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery, read schematics, operate lifts, and follow GMP/SOPs under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, electrical training or manufacturing maintenance experience, and relevant licenses. This full-time role offers growth in a manufacturing environment with safety and quality at the core.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Electrical program completion or 2 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Licensure in forklift, plumbing, electrical or boiler operator is a plus.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Mechanical and Electrical ability.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to handle hazardous chemicals.
• Knowledge of hydraulics.
• Basic knowledge of production equipment operation.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
• Perform basic computer skills.
• Ability to learn GMP, SOPs and other procedures.
• Must acquire White Seal/Special NJ Boiler Operator.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform troubleshooting production equipment.
• Learn from Electro-Mechanics.
• Learn to run conduit, wiring outlets, breakers, transformers, and lighting.
• Learn to rebuild rack and pinion on presses.
• Work directly with mechanics on repairs.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, cleaning and repairs of machinery and equipment.
• Under supervision of a Crew Leader, troubleshoot electrical wiring, relays, contactors, starters, AC/DC drives and motors.
• Under supervision of a Crew Leader, troubleshoot hydraulic valves and cylinders and repairs as needed.
• Maintain records and logs for inspections, testing, maintenance, installation and repairs.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, cleaning and repairs of machinery and equipment
• Under direct supervisor of a Crew Leader, troubleshoot and repair various electrical wiring, switches, relays, contactor, starters, AC / DC drives and motor
• Under direct supervisor of a Crew Leader, troubleshoot hydraulic valves and cylinders and replace or repair as needed
• Maintain required records, logs, etc. with regard to inspections, testing, maintenance, installation and repairs of equipment and machinery

Requirements
