POSITION DETAILS
- Job Title: Electricians & Apprentice Electricians
- Pay Rate: $24-$35/hr
- Location: Laurel, MD
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: 4 ten-hour days and 2 eight-hour days, starting at 6 am
- Start Date: ASAP
SCOPE OF WORK
- Install and terminate electrical systems supporting data center operations, including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, RPPs, and generators
- Install conduit systems, cable tray, grounding and bonding systems, and power distribution wiring
- Pull, route, terminate, and test feeder, branch, and control wiring
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, BIM models, one-line diagrams, and construction specifications
- Assist with startup, testing, commissioning, and energization activities
- Perform electrical troubleshooting using meters, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Support installation of mission‑critical electrical infrastructure requiring high reliability and uptime standards
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NEC requirements, client specifications, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and test results
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, foremen, engineers, and commissioning teams
- Identify and resolve installation issues while maintaining project schedules
- Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians
- Follow all safety policies and participate in daily safety briefings and job hazard analyses
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience required
- Must complete ladder and fall protection safety (CCS will provide)
- Journeyman Electrician License where required by jurisdiction
- Experience installing electrical power distribution systems in data centers, industrial facilities, or large commercial projects
- Strong understanding of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams
- Experience with conduit installation, cable tray systems, feeder installations, and equipment terminations
- Proficient with electrical testing instruments, including multimeters, megohmmeters, and continuity testers
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working on hyperscale data center projects
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with UPS systems, backup generators, medium‑voltage distribution, switchgear, and electrical commissioning
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Climb ladders, work from elevated platforms, and access confined spaces
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods in active construction environments
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, arc‑flash protection, and fall protection equipment
Work Environment
- Active data center construction sites and mission‑critical facilities
- May require shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel based on project needs
Follow site safety procedures, and use required PPE.
