Job summary

United States Army Reserve seeks individuals to enlist as Soldiers and train as Interior Electrician (12R). You will install, maintain, and safely distribute electricity, work on interior electrical systems, transformers, circuit breakers and wiring, and learn to read blueprints for layouts and repairs.

This is entry level with no civilian contractor duties. Enlistees receive comprehensive benefits, including health care through TRICARE, education programs such as the GI Bill, and housing

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card.
• Age 17–34 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• No major law violations or medical concerns.

Enlist as a Soldier into the United States Army and become a certified Interior Electrician (12R), where you’ll install, maintain, and safely distribute electricity, the driving force behind today’s Army. You’ll work on interior electrical systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, electrical boxes, and lightning rods. You’ll test equipment and fix any short circuits in wires and faulty equipment, and you’ll learn to read blueprints and wire plans to determine layouts and repair. This is not a civilian contractor position. No experience necessary. Position is entry level.
