Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Electricians for our office in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Ideal candidates will read and interpret blueprints, safely install and terminate electrical panels, and perform installation planning with attention to detail. Travel may be required based on project needs.

Qualifikationen

• Safety and general job training completed as required by SIC.
• Ability to read and follow plans, blueprints and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Prepare layout using voltage tester, wire strippers, level and pipe benders.
• Terminate panels utilizing LOTO.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other workers.
• Run cable tray, pull wire and bend conduit.
• Understand motor controls and metering.
• Calculate loads for branch circuits and select overcurrent devices.
• Follow directions, plans and blueprints; work overhead or in confined spaces.

Job Summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Electricians for our office in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches and building plans pertaining to type of material
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Prepares layout, using voltage tester, wire strippers, level, pipe benders etc...
• Terminates panels utilizing LOTO
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
• Run cable tray, pulls wire and bend various types of conduit.
• Understands motor controls and metering.
• Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices.
• Calculate loads for single phase and three-phase branch circuits.
• Rates information using standards, which can be measured or checked.
• Reviews and compares differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Follow directions, plans, and blueprints.
• Perform work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
• Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
• Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
