Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Electrician for a project in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months.

You will prepare layouts, read blueprints, install and terminate panels with LOTO, and coordinate with other trades. The job requires strong safety focus, mechanical aptitude, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
• Ability to work with precise standards and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standard practices.
• Experience with termination panels and LOTO procedures.
• Ability to plan installations and coordinate with other trades.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and building plans for material layouts.
• Prepare layouts using standard electrical tools.
• Terminate control panels following LOTO procedures.
• Plan installation sequences to avoid conflicts with other trades.
• Run cable trays and pull wires through conduits.
• Understand motor controls and metering.
• Calculate loads for single- and three-phase circuits.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.
• Work overhead, in confined spaces, ladders and lifts as required.
• Maintain regular attendance; travel may be required.

Job Summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Electrician for a project in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches and building plans pertaining to type of material
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Prepares layout, using voltage tester, wire strippers, level, pipe benders etc...
• Terminates panels utilizing LOTO
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
• Run cable tray, pulls wire and bend various types of conduit.
• Understands motor controls and metering.
• Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices.
• Calculate loads for single phase and three-phase branch circuits.
• Rates information using standards, which can be measured or checked.
• Reviews and compares differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Follow directions, plans, and blueprints.
• Perform work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
• Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
• Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.

Work Environment

• Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
