  • Perform standardized duties using hand tools and testing instruments; isolate defects in wiring, switches, monitors, and related equipment.
  • Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems; dismantle and replace defective parts as needed following diagrams and specifications.
  • Work under direct supervision and follow established procedures and instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain safety procedures and work safely around power plant equipment to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Keep a neat and clean work area to promote a safe and efficient environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and participate in the emergency response organization; travel for station outages as required (periods up to a month or more).
  • Must obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear access.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of electrical work in an industrial setting and experience with basic hand tools.
  • Electrical trade school training or prior military experience.
  • Nuclear power plant experience.
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC circuitry and equipment grounding requirements; ability to read and apply blueprints/circuit diagrams.
Education Requirements
