Job summary

Sunrun Installation Services Inc. in Des Plaines, IL, is seeking an Electrical Trainee to join our branch crew.

The role provides hands-on electrical support to foremen and electricians, assisting with solar installs, troubleshooting, and mechanical work on residential systems, while upholding safety and OSHA standards. You will help assemble racking, connect arrays to the grid, and assist in trenching and site cleanup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of electrical installation and repair experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards.
• Professional appearance and customer interaction.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of electrical systems interconnecting solar arrays to the grid.
