Overview

Beacon is seeking skilled Residential Electricians with 3+ years of electrical expertise to service homeowners in our Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, MD service area. This is a hands-on residential service role centered around troubleshooting and understanding the full electrical system. You’ll be joining a team that already operates at a high level, where technicians diagnose issues, think critically, and deliver real solutions for homeowners. Success comes from seeing the bigger picture—identifying not only the immediate issue, but also opportunities for preventative maintenance, repairs, and system improvements that can be handled in the moment. What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of residential electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and electrical codes
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently
• Comfortable using software and technology (ServiceTitan, iPad, phone, inventory systems)
• Clean driving record and ability to maintain safe driving practices
• Clear background check and ability to pass a drug test

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Physically capable of performing residential electrical work safely

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain residential electrical systems
• Diagnose electrical issues and provide effective, code-compliant solutions
• Educate homeowners on their electrical systems and recommended upkeep
• Use tools, meters, and equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety codes, building regulations, and company procedures
• Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly
• Communicate clearly with Dispatch, customers, and teammates
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and accurate inventory
• Participate in trainings and team meetings (up to three times weekly)
• Present a professional, clean-cut appearance while wearing Beacon uniform
