Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Scranton, PA is seeking an Electrician to install, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical control systems, PLCs, CNC relays, and computer controlled manufacturing equipment. The Electrician will read electrical drawings, follow safety policies, adhere to lockout/tagout and confined space procedures, and work with a variety of hand tools.

3+ years in heavy manufacturing is required; electrical degree or equivalent training is preferred and

Qualifications

• Electrical degree or equivalent training or combined education/experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Must pass an aptitude test for Electricians.
• Willing to work off shifts and in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair facility electrical control systems, PLC, CNC relay and computer controlled manufacturing equipment while reading electrical drawings.
• Follow Basic Rules of Manufacturing, GD-OTS policies and ISO documentation.
• Demonstrate electrical safety practices and adhere to lockout/tagout and confined space procedures.
• Handle hazardous materials and perform other duties as assigned.
