Ameresco in Oxford, MA is hiring an Electrician for our Operations & Maintenance team. The role focuses on inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or utility solar facilities at a Massachusetts site.

You will read manuals, document work, and install or repair solar equipment under supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial solar electrical maintenance experience.
• Current Journeyman's Electrical License or registered electrician with MA.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines.
• Reads and interprets manuals, blueprints, and control drawings; applies knowledge under supervision.
• Completes work orders, calibration sheets, and time cards.
• Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect, install, remove and maintain solar site equipment (panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, SCADA).
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians/coworkers.
• Available for after-hours and weekend call-outs; perform other duties as required.

Our comprehensive portfolio is built to address the challenges of today and adapt the future, ensuring long-term sustainability and success for our customers.Job DescriptionAmeresco’s Operations & Maintenance Group has a new opportunity for an **Electrician** in Massachusetts, preferably around the Oxford area experienced with inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or utility solar facilities.## Responsibilities:* Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.* Reads and interprets instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.* Completes written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.* Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.* Supervise and train apprentice electricians/coworkers to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.* Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion* Perform other duties as required.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Minimum of 2 years experience of industrial solar electric/electronic maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment.* Current Journeyman's Electrical License or at minimum registered electrician with the state o MA.* Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.* High School Diploma or equivalent in lieu of diploma required.**Additional Qualifications:*** Knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.* Knowledge of Solar PV a plus.* Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.* Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time with hands and arms at heights to install and troubleshoot equipment.* OSHA training and certification preferred.The anticipated hourly range for this role is$37.02–$53.01 per hour (presented in good faith).
