UMass Memorial Health in Milford, MA is seeking an on-site Electrician/Maintenance Mechanic for a 40-hour day shift. The role maintains, repairs, and installs electrical systems and related infrastructure, including phone/data. Requires MA electrician license, HS diploma, and 3+ years licensed experience.

Hospital experience preferred. Excellent teamwork and safety adherence are essential. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with on-call as required.

Qualifications

• MA electrician license is required.

• 3+ years as a licensed electrician.

Also inspects, maintains, repairs and installs phone and data infrastructure. Completes and documents weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual inspections and testing as required by The Joint Commission.I. Major Responsibilities:1. Inspects and troubleshoots electrical systems, equipment and fixtures using testing devices to identify hazards, defects, of the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with applicable codes. 2. Performs electrically related activities specified by work orders. 3. Performs preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, equipment and fixtures according to specifications. 4. Completes phone, fiber optic and data work as needed to include installation and troubleshooting. 5. Obtains necessary parts through established engineering purchasing procedures. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. MA electrician license 2. High school diploma or equivalent required. 3. Education and training required to complete and obtain MA state electrical licensure. Experience/Skills: Required: 1. The ability to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems. 2. Knowledge of Massachusetts state building and electrical codes. 3. Ability to read, write and speak English. 4. At least three years of experience working as licensed electrician. Preferred: 1.
