Top Tier Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman for Omaha, NE. You will lead and mentor apprentices on-site, while installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Applicants should have a valid Nebraska electrical license (or license in progress) and be able to travel locally. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with competitive benefits and a strong ESOP program.

Join our Employee-Owned company as an experienced Electrical Journeyman level for Top Tier Electric, a division of SGH Redglaze Holdings, Inc. in our Omaha Nebraska Office. Top Tier Electric is a merit shop electric company that provides services for Commercial, Industrial and Residential clients in Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support apprentices on-site, modeling safe work practices, proper tool handling, and reinforcing OSHA and NEC standards.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
  • Pull wire and bend conduit.
  • Drill holes for wiring and pulls.
  • Trace out short circuits in wiring.
  • Gather tools and supplies to be used at work sites.
  • Install fixtures.

Requirements

Successful candidates should be prepared to meet the following employment requirements:

• Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical capabilities test.
• Have reliable transportation with a valid Driver's License and Insurance.
• Have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle driving record (MVR).
• Pass a background check for access to client jobsites, when applicable.
• Must possess a current State of Nebraska Electrical License or provide proof that a current application for licensing is in progress.
• Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, or similar field, preferred but not required.
• Field experience as a commercial electrical apprentice preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel locally and out of town is required.
