Job summary

Cianbro is seeking a skilled electrician for plant installations and ongoing electrical maintenance across facilities. The role supports installation, testing, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial settings.

Candidates should have completed an electrical apprenticeship and possess at least three years of relevant experience, with a valid PA electrical license or reciprocity. This is a hands-on, on-site position based in Harrisburg area.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical apprenticeship program and industrial experience.
• Minimum 3 years in industrial or commercial settings.
• Must hold a current electrical license in Harrisburg or PA municipality.

Responsibilities

• Performs install, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical/instrumentation systems in new/remodeled facilities.
• Installs and maintains motors, controls, relays, drives and switchgear; ensures generator/transformer operation.
• Interprets blueprints and wiring diagrams; uses meters and testing equipment.
• Reads and understands installation instructions and control schematics; troubleshoots circuits.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical and instrumentation systems and service work in new or remodeled facilities.
• Installs, repairs and maintains electrical motors, complex electronic devices, control panels, relays, conduit and switches ensuring proper electrical operation of generators and transformers.
• Interprets electrical construction blueprints.
• Uses meter and motor testing equipment.
• Ability to understand control schematics.
• Ability to read and understand installation instructions and wiring diagrams for basic equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Completed electrical apprenticeship program.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Must hold a current/valid Electrical license in the City of Harrisburg or reciprocating Pennsylvania municipality

Experience working with:

• Voltage levels up to 4,160.
• VFD / DC drives.
• PLC's.
• Troubleshooting non-working circuits.
• AC/DC Motor Maintenance.
• Motor Control Centers.
• Unit substations
• Industrial raceway installation
