Job summary

Mississippi Department of Employment Security in Pascagoula is seeking an Electrician Helper to support journeymen on building sites. Basic electrician's tools are required and you will assist with wiring tasks under supervision.

  • Use power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment as needed.
  • Plan layouts and installations of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures according to job specifications and local codes.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair and ensure code compliance.
  • Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, locate causes, and correct problems.
