Job description

The electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in commercial, industrial and healthcare facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fabricated assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC
• Directly work with other electricians and helpers as part of a team
• Install electrical distribution and automation equipment: switchgear, panels, transformers, PLC control cabinets, and variable-frequency drives (VFDs)
• Have knowledge of circuitry of the trade, including power, control, and motor terminations
• Bend conduit by hand and with benders
• Capable of digging trenches, using hand tools or power equipment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges
• Accuracy performing basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and measurements
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management
• Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or 1-3 years of experience, or a combination of education and/or experience is preferred

This position is performed in outdoor weather conditions.
