Job summary

QTC Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead telecom site electrical teams, supervising installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The role ensures safety, on-time delivery, and compliance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faulty systems, devices, and parts using testing equipment and hand tools to identify and resolve malfunctions.
  • Proficiency in electrical competencies including identification of faults in AC/DC systems and troubleshooting to resolve them.
  • Analyzing electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and need for maintenance while ensuring code compliance.
  • Verifying the safety of electrical systems by testing circuit continuity within wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Providing ongoing feedback to management about potential hazards during operation of equipment.
  • Performing duties on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring and equipment.
  • Completing physically demanding tasks (digging trenches, underground conduit installation, bending, crouching, lifting).
  • Understanding plans, specs, contracts, blueprints, safety documents and other job-site documentation.
  • Demonstrating effective problem solving to identify and mitigate safety hazards and code violations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to lead our electrical teams in the successful execution of telecommunications infrastructure projects. As a Telecommunications Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems supporting telecom sites. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of electrical and telecom systems, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faulty systems, devices, and parts by utilizing testing equipment and as well as hand tools to identify the sources of the malfunction to resolve the issue.
  • Proficiency in electrical competencies including identification of faults in AC/DC electrical systems and the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve them.
  • Analyzing electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects as well as the necessity for modification or maintenance and to ensure code compliance.
  • Verifying the compatibility and safety of electrical systems by testing the continuity of circuits within the wiring, equipment, and fixtures by utilizing testing devices to ensure the integrity and functionality of the entire system.
  • Providing continuous feedback to management regarding any potential hazards associated with the ongoing operation of equipment.
  • Performing job duties on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs to install, maintain or repair any electrical wiring, equipment and/or fixtures.
  • Completing physically demanding tasks such as (but not limited to): trench digging, underground installation of conduit, and long- term bending, crouching, pulling, lifting, etc.
  • Understanding plans, specifications, contracts, blueprints, safety documents and any other workplace or job site related documentation pertaining to each job.
  • Demonstrating efficient problem solving skills while Identifying and mitigating safety hazards, code violations and other electrical issues
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including technical telecom facility plans.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and grounding methods.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical test meters and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to safety practices and procedures.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years in telecommunications projects.
  • Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60 lbs of weight.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and squat. Have full range of motion.
  • Must be capable of working at heights above 20 feet in lifts or bucket trucks.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on active job sites.
