Atlantic Constructors, a trusted industry leader in the Mid-Atlantic region with over 50 years of experience, seeks an Electrical Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires reading blueprints/ NEC, following codes, and a willingness to report to multiple job sites. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in electrical field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• Must follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

Responsibilities

• Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
• Assembles, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps
• Works from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Interprets blueprints, NEC, and specifications
• Assembles, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
• Performs other duties as assigned
