Job summary

Eagle Electrical Services in Plain City, OH is hiring an Electrician or Electrician Trainee to join our team. We offer comprehensive training, paid health insurance, and a retirement plan, with opportunities to work on commercial, healthcare and data-center projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures per job specs.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems for safety and compliance using testing devices.
• Use power tools and testing equipment to install and maintain wiring.
• Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, fixtures, switches, and motors.
• Maintain neat, safe work space and follow blueprints and codes.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
• Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, light fixtures, light switches, lighting ballast, motors, etc.
• Assists in keeping building common and electrical spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition.
• Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, and national and local codes. Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
• Attend Tool Box safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
• Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
• Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, depending on position.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of the electrical construction industry and the National Electrical Code and design are desirable but not necessary.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers, employees.
