Responsibilities

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures per job specs and codes.
• Test electrical systems and circuits using meters to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Use assorted tools and equipment including power tools and testing devices.
• Repair/install electrical devices such as receptacles, fixtures, switches, and motors.
• Maintain neat and safe electrical spaces; update as-built drawings as needed.

Job Summary

Job Title: Electrician / Electrician Trainee

Reports to: General Foreman

Location: Counties of - Montgomery, Clinton, Darke, Greene, Preble and northern Warren County

FLSA Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt – Journeyman - $39.40 to $45.31 per hour with required experience.

Additional retirement plan of $14.71 per hour and fully paid Health Insurance by the employer with 12,000-hour experience in the electrical trade.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
• Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, light fixtures, light switches, lighting ballast, motors, etc.
• Assists in keeping building common and electrical spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition.
• Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, and national and local codes. Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
• Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
• Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
• Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
