Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking an intermediate-level electrician to plan, lay out, install, test and repair wiring, fixtures and control systems according to plans and codes. You will work with high and low voltage systems, interpret drawings and troubleshoot issues on site.

The role requires ability to read schematics, use hand and power tools, and perform installations safely in all weather conditions. Strong communication with supervision is necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or related area.
• Must possess working knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; welds supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
• Installs control and distribution apparatuses and fastens in place.
• Tests and starts up systems and continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• May pull wire through conduit; connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Works with high and low voltage systems.
• Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
• Operates electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools.

Position Summary

Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
