Job summary

SpaceXAI is hiring skilled electricians to support installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mission-critical electrical systems for data centers. You will work on high-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution, grounding, and backup power in a fast-paced, safety‑driven environment.

This hands-on role targets experienced journeyman electricians who thrive in industrial or data center settings and contribute directly to AI infrastructure breakthroughs.

Qualifications

• Journeyman license and 2+ years industrial or mission-critical electrical work.
• Knowledge of 480V electrical systems; high/medium voltage experience a plus.
• OSHA 10/30 training and strong safety mindset.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Flexible hours, nights, weekends, and extended shifts during critical builds.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test electrical systems including underground duct banks, conduits, cable pulling, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, PDUs, busways, grounding.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on low- and medium-voltage systems.
• Support commissioning activities: point-to-point checks, functional testing, megger testing, energization.
• Read and interpret drawings and one-line diagrams.
• Ensure NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA and SpaceXAI safety & quality standards compliance.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams to deliver projects with zero incidents.
• Maintain documentation, as-builts, and test records.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are hiring skilled Electricians to support the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mission-critical electrical systems for SpaceXAI's data centers. You will work on high-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution, backup power systems, grounding, lighting, and process power in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where uptime and safety are paramount.

This is a hands-on role ideal for experienced journeyman electricians who thrive in industrial or data center settings and want to contribute directly to groundbreaking AI infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, terminate, and test electrical systems including underground duct banks, conduits, cable pulling, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, and grounding.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
• Support commissioning activities: point-to-point checks, functional testing, megger testing, and system energization.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
• Ensure full compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and SpaceXAI safety & quality standards (including LOTO and arc flash protocols).
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams to deliver projects on time with zero incidents.
• Participate in constructibility reviews and provide field feedback to improve designs.
• Maintain accurate documentation, as-builts, and test records.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent) with 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or mission-critical electrical work (data centers, power plants, or large facilities preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V (medium/high voltage experience a big plus).
• Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, meggers, power quality analyzers, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Current OSHA 10/30 training and strong safety mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts during critical builds or commissioning.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments with PPE.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with data center or hyperscale power infrastructure (redundant UPS, generators, busway systems).
• NETA certification, NICET, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PLC/controls, SCADA, or variable frequency drives.
• Prior work on large-scale construction projects.
