Cupertino Electric, Inc. is looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial projects. Compensation and benefits for this role are governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Additional hourly incentives may apply depending on the project. Candidates who are not currently members of the union will be required to join the IBEW upon hire. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Cupertino Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in commercial, industrial, and large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and be able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
You have in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and local electrical codes. You possess experience in the installation of electrical components including wiring, conduits, and circuit breakers. You have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and construction documents. Your strong troubleshooting skills enable you to resolve electrical issues independently. You are proficient in using electrical tools, hand tools, and power tools. You understand OSHA safety standards and are committed to maintaining a safe work environment. With good communication and interpersonal skills, you work effectively with team members, apprentices, and supervisors. You also have the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
