Lynn Electric is an experienced electrical contractor building out commercial, multi-family, and senior living projects across the Kansas City metro area. You will work with a tight-knit crew under the foreman, laying out wiring, installing conduit, panels, and lighting, and ensuring code compliance from the ground up.

We value hands-on electricians with 2+ years of commercial/new-construction experience, NEC fluency, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Job description

Lynn Electric is hiring experienced Electricians to join our crews on new construction projects, from multi-family housing and senior living facilities to commercial office buildings. You'll work alongside a tight-knit crew under your foreman, installing electrical systems from the ground up, following plans, meeting code, and holding yourself to a high standard of quality on every job.

What You'll Do

• Read plans and specifications, and lay out wiring and equipment locations before work begins
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit; pull wire and cable; and set boxes, following the National Electrical Code (NEC) as adopted where the job is located
• Install circuit-breaker panels, switches, receptacles, and lighting, along with grounding and bonding
• Connect power to lighting fixtures, motors, HVAC units, and other equipment
• Install temporary power and lighting for the job site
• Test circuits for continuity, grounding, and safety before power is turned on
• Work safely, following OSHA construction rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and site safety plans
• Support inspections, fix any corrections, and keep daily logs and material counts
• Work with your foreman and crew to keep projects on schedule and done right

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on electrical experience in a commercial or new-construction setting
• Working knowledge of the NEC and the ability to apply it on the job
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and technical specifications
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Reliable transportation with the ability to commute to job sites within approximately a 1-hour radius of the Kansas City metro
• Journeyman license preferred, but not required.
• Electrical Technology program graduate a plus

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding field role. Candidates should be able to regularly lift up to 70 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance), climb ladders and scaffolding, work at heights, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, and uneven terrain.
