Kiewit is seeking an experienced Mine Electrician (MSHA certified) to maintain, troubleshoot, and install electrical systems for mining operations on site in Craig, CO. The role requires strong technical and safety discipline with leadership potential for mentoring entry-level electricians.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial/mining electrical work, knowledge of NEC/CFR 30 Part 77, and hands-on experience with AC/DC drives and high-voltage systems. MSHA certification is essential.
The experienced Mine Electrician (MSHA certified) is responsible for independently maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing electrical systems that support safe and efficient mining operations. This position requires strong technical ability, sound decision-making, and strict adherence to MSHA, NEC, and CFR electrical regulations. Experienced electricians serve as technical resources on shift and may provide guidance to entry-level electricians.
Experienced electricians may progress to Senior or High-Voltage Mine Electrician roles with additional experience and MSHA High Voltage certification.

Compensation Range: From $42.76/hr to $51.52/hr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as licenses/certifications, experience, skillset, and location)
