Job summary

GDI Services Inc US is seeking an entry-level electrical apprentice to work under the supervision of an experienced or licensed electrician in Michigan. You will assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and learn to read blueprints while handling wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.

You will run and pull wires, use hand and power tools safely, follow codes and safety procedures, and help prepare materials for projects while keeping the work area

Qualifications

• Willing to learn under supervision of an experienced or licensed electrician.
• Background check, MVR, and fingerprint required.
• Ability to read basic electrical blueprints and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Installing wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and electrical components.
• Running and pulling electrical wires and conduit.
• Using hand and power tools safely.
• Assisting with troubleshooting electrical problems.
• Reading basic electrical blueprints and diagrams.
• Following electrical codes and workplace safety procedures.
• Preparing materials and equipment for electrical projects.
• Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Performing other electrical maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
