Folkes Home Services in Fishkill, NY seeks an Electrician - Service Technician (Residential) to install, maintain and repair residential electrical systems. You will troubleshoot issues, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with codes while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven residential electrical experience including installation, troubleshooting and repair in occupied homes.
• Demonstrated sales ability with experience presenting service options and closing residential upgrades.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and residential wiring practices.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical installation and repair.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service, especially in residential settings.
• Ability to work independently in customers' homes with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Team Members: plan and execute tasks with colleagues per project specs.

• Ensure Compliance: stay updated on local codes and safety standards.
• Provide Exceptional Customer Service: explain system operations and offer maintenance advice.
• Maintain Accurate Documentation: complete work orders and inspection reports timely.

What You'll Do:

• Install and Maintain Electrical Systems: Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, and controls, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot Electrical Issues: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems using specialized tools such as voltmeters and ammeters
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with colleagues to plan and execute electrical installations and maintenance tasks, adhering to project specifications and industry standards

What You Bring:
