Job summary

Janicki Industries in Sedro-Woolley, WA seeks an Electrician to manage installation, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems from 24 to 480 volts. You will evaluate loads, relocate circuits, install power for new equipment, and wire offices, data networks, and CCTV systems.

Strong blueprint reading and safety compliance are required. Applicants must have a Journeyman Electrician license (01) or be eligible for it, with a high school diploma or GED and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license required, apprentice level allowed with ability to obtain Journeyman 01.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, diagrams and schematics.
• Good English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair plant/office electrical systems from 24 to 480 volts.
• Evaluate electrical loads and relocate circuits as needed.
• Install power circuits for new equipment and wire office spaces.
• Install and maintain data/communication circuits and CCTV systems.
• Follow safety and company policies; assist with outages and coordination.
• Prepare wiring diagrams and ensure concealed wiring before finishing walls.
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Position Description

Manages and plans the installation, troubleshooting, and repairs of all plant/office electrical systems and equipment ranging from 24 to 480 volts.

The following essential job functions are performed as an Electrician:

• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical power supply, branch circuit power problems and electrical problems to equipment and machinery
• Evaluates and calculates electrical loads for equipment installation
• Relocates electrical circuits
• Installs power circuits for new equipment
• Wires office spaces
• Installs data and communication circuits
• Installs and maintains closed Circuit Video Surveillance system
• Observes the functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
• Repairs of faulty equipment or systems
• Adheres to JI Safety, HazMat and JI Policies
• Coordinates generator function and usage in scheduled and non-scheduled power outages
• Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceiling, and flooring
• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels
• Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
• Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

Education/Experience

• Journeyman 01 Electrician license is required, unless apprentice level, must be able to obtain a Journeyman 01 license
• Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, diagrams and schematics
• Must be familiar with and able to use common hand and power tools, and operate lifts, basic training of computer networking
• Must have good balance and dexterity
• Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
• Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED

Electrical lifts, conduit benders, various hand tools (drills, skills saw, jig saw, grinder), metal cutters

WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposed to dust irritants, chemical fumes and loud noises

Additional Information

• Wage range for this role is between $24 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
