CBRE is seeking a skilled Electrician in San Marcos, TX to inspect, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment across assigned facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, install new equipment, and ensure safe operation while adhering to CBRE RISE values. A master electrician license and 3–4 years of related experience are required, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3–4 years of related experience; Master Electrician license per local codes.
• Must meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladder, lifting 50 lbs+.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding of procedures and standards to solve mildly complex problems.

About The Role

As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
• Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
• Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
• Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
• Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
