Job summary

University Hospital in Texas is seeking an experienced electrician to install, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical components in a hospital setting. You will ensure prompt, proficient performance while complying with safety policies and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least two years as a journeyman/apprentice electrician, and strong English reading/writing skills. Hospital electrician experience is preferred.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school graduation or equivalent required. A minimum of two years working as a journeyman or apprentice electrician required. Must have a basic understanding of safety practices, state and local electrical codes, electrical circuits, motors, switches and switching gear. The ability to speak, read, and write English, make simple calculations, and follow simple written and oral directions is required. One year as a hospital electrician preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State driver’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
